Style in 50 Years
Within the fashion industry, there's always a constant drive for innovation and change. Style change is an intriguing phenomenon that constantly transforms the way we dress and express ourselves. The fashion industry is known for its dynamism and ongoing search for new aesthetics and forms of expression. Style change reflects not only shifts in popular culture but also the social, political, and economic developments of our time. It's a vivid representation of the changing tastes, values, and identities in society.
Within the project "Our Style in 50 Years," clothing and accessories are used to explore what our style will look like in 10, 20, 30, 40, or 50 years if we continue to live the way we do. Five fashion designers and stylists and eight BFA alumni will present this project during DDW at the Bijenkorf in Eindhoven, under the title "Style over 50 Years."
