Je zult leren over alle aspecten van mode en business, zowel in theorie als praktijk. Het programma zorgt ervoor dat je niet alleen leert hoe je een bedrijf start, maar ook hoe je onderscheid kunt zijn. Deze twee kernbegrippen worden onderwezen via modeklassen die Fashion Design, Fashion Styling, Fotografie, Modegeschiedenis, Praktijklessen, Video, Fotografie en Trends omvatten. Adobe-tools zoals Photoshop, InDesign en Illustrator, samen met AI-lessen, zijn ook een essentieel onderdeel van het curriculum, omdat we geloven dat het beheersen van deze tools cruciaal is binnen de mode-industrie.

CONTENT:

The BFA program is structured around two core principles: Fashion & Business.

You will learn about all aspects of fashion, as well as business in both theory and practice. The program ensures that you not only learn how to be an entrepreneur, but also how to be entrepreneurial. You will learn these two core principles through classes in Fashion Design, Fashion Styling, Photography, Fashion History, Practical Lessons, Video, Photography, and Trends. Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator, as well as AI, are also important components, as we believe it's crucial that you master these tools within the fashion industry.

To learn how to be an entrepreneur or enterprising, you will take classes in entrepreneurship, where you will learn how to achieve this in a professional manner. You will receive classes in Business, Communication, (Online) Marketing, Finance, and Law.

At BFA, professionalism is central. We train you to become a professional in the fashion industry, and that's why you will also receive classes in Networking, Presentation, Discipline, and Personal Development.

You'll learn about Fashion and Entrepreneurship.

You can choose your own discipline within fashion: bags, jewelry, clothing, shoes, lingerie.

GOAL: We train fashion designers who learn how to be designers, creators, entrepreneurs, or enterprising individuals.

SUBJECTS: Fashion Design, Entrepreneurship, Styling, Communication, Marketing, Trends, Adobe: Photoshop, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, AI lessons, Law, Finance, Video, Photography, Networking, Presentation Techniques, Fashion History, Negotiation Techniques, Art Direction, Practical Classes, Career Guidance.

FUTURE PROSPECTS: After completing their BFA, our students start their own businesses, freelance in the fashion industry, or work for fashion companies as designers, stylists, product developers, content creators, or creative marketers.

LOCATION: Antwerp (Antwerp city center, Meir 12)

REQUIREMENTS: A laptop with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. These are available at a student rate through BFA.

STUDY MATERIALS: BFA provides course materials through the student portal.

STUDY LOAD FOR THE YEAR-ROUND PROGRAM: 14 hours of instruction per week, with an average of 10 hours of self-study per week.

CERTIFICATE: Upon successful completion of the program, you will receive a BFA certificate.

As a BFA student, you will become part of our community, which consists of a pleasant fashion & business environment.

As a student, you will have access to:

- The BFA Forward Event: this is organised several times a year with top guest speakers from the fashion & business industry, such as Patta, Flâneur, ELLE, and Ronald van der Kemp. During this event, you will not only learn from the guest speakers, but you will also learn how to build a network.

- BFA x Career Connect: During and after your studies, we connect you with the fashion and business world, so that you can already be active in the fashion and business world during your studies!

Business Fashion Academy offers a comprehensive one-year programme designed to prepare you for a successful career in the fashion industry. This one-year programme is intensive, practice-oriented and provides a broad foundation of knowledge and skills needed in the dynamic world of fashion.

During the one-year programme, you will have the opportunity to delve deeply into various aspects of the fashion industry, including design, entrepreneurship, branding, production, trends, styling, multimedia design and much more. The curriculum has been carefully compiled by experienced lecturers and professionals from the fashion industry to ensure that you develop a comprehensive understanding of the various facets of fashion. In addition, guest lecturers and experts from the fashion industry are regularly invited to give guest lectures, allowing you to learn from different perspectives and real-life experiences.

An important feature of the one-year programme is the combination of theoretical knowledge and practical experience. You will have the opportunity to develop your creativity and technical skills through hands-on projects and masterclasses. You will be encouraged to explore your own ideas and designs, experiment with different materials and techniques, and develop your own style.

PERSONAL COACHING

What sets the Business Fashion Academy's one-year programme apart is the personal guidance and attention each student receives. We believe in a small-scale approach, where lecturers work closely with you to realise your individual needs and goals. FASHION & ENTREPRENEURSHIP

In addition to acquiring professional knowledge and skills, the one-year programme also focuses on entrepreneurship and professional development. You will learn how to build your own brand or business, start working as a freelancer, develop marketing strategies, and gain business insight to be successful in the fashion industry. FOTO & VIDEOSTUDIO & ATELIER: Als BFA-student kan je gratis gebruik maken van de foto & videostudio en het atelier STUDIEBELASTING: 4 lesuren per week, zelfstudie gemiddeld 6 uur per week. CERTIFICAAT: Na het succesvol afronden van de opleiding ontvang je een BFA certificaat.

INVESTERINGSKOSTEN: de investeringskosten voor de jaaropleiding bedragen € 3350,-
